ABOUT THE BSD
Building Information Modelling (BIM) is at the heart of the digital revolution in the construction industry - and with the Building Solutions Designer (BSD) from Wieland Electric, we are taking electrical planning to a new level. The BSD enables the seamless integration of pluggable electrical installations into the 3D modelling of buildings.
Advantages & features
The BSD from Wieland Electric offers revolutionary planning freedom. With features such as the IFC interface for seamless data exchange with BIM software, an extensive product database and the ability to check technical limits such as voltage drop or overload, the BSD sets new standards in electrical planning. If applications have already been created in the Building Solutions Configurator (BSC), these can be imported into the BSD and further processed there.

FAQ
Do you have questions about the BSD? In our FAQ section you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Specialist models from other buildings or trades can be imported in IFC format.
The specialised model of the pluggable electrical installation is exported in IFC format (IFC4).
In addition to the 3D geometries of the components (with variable LOG), the export also contains the product data classified according to ETIM. The ETIM classification is part of the internationally used buildingSMART Data Dictionary (bSDD) product database.
