FLOOR BOX
CABLING

Single and three phase connector solutions to deliver power where it’s needed.

EASILY SUPPLIED WITH THREE-PHASE POWER

Anyone looking for an ideal solution for structured supply to floor boxes will find this with Wieland. In office and administrative buildings our gesis® NRG flat cables enable three-phase power supply up to just before the floor boxes. As several cable colors are available, it is easier to distinguish between circuits (general and clean). With 3-pole, pluggable taps with free phase selection we achieve flexible load sharing. Floor boxes from various system partners are available as pluggable models straight from the factory. They can also be supplied with decentralized fuse protection (MCB, RCBO) on request.

SMALL SYSTEMS

For smaller systems with a limited number of floor boxes (depending on the average capacity usually < 10), cabling with 3-pole gesis® CLASSIC connecting and termination cables and distribution via gesis® CLASSIC distribution blocks is recommended.

You can build a complete System with following components:

  • 3-pole female feed connector – 2.5 or 4 mm2 – for connection to the feed-in cable
  • 3-pole distributor block - for connecting the connecting cables
  • 3-pole connecting cables 3G2,5 mm2 as infrastructure cabling for a supply line
  • 3-pole connecting cables 3G2,5 mm2 to directly pluggable floor boxes, alternatively 3-pole connection cables 3G2.5 mm for conventional floor tanks

MEDIUM-SIZED SYSTEMS/ONE CIRCUIT

For medium-sized systems with up to 30 floor boxes (depending on the average capacity), infrastructure cabling with 5-pole gesis® NRG flat cables is recommended.

You can build a complete system with following components:

  • 5-pole flat cable – 2.5 or 4 mm2 – as flexible bus bar
  • Flat cable end pieces
  • 5-pole flat cable feed-in – 2.5 - 6 mm2 – for connection to the feed-in cable
  • 3-pole flat cable adapter with pluggable outlet and phase selection (can be adapted at any time without offsetting)
  • 3-pole connecting cables 3G2.5 mm2  to directly pluggable floor boxes, alternatively 3-pole connection cables 3G2.5 mm2 for conventional floor boxes

MEDIUM-SIZED SYSTEMS/TWO CIRCUITS

If two networks (general and clean) are to be used in medium-sized systems, infrastructure cabling with two 5-pole gesis® NRG flat cables in different colors is recommended. This almost eliminates the possibility of mixing the cirguits.

You can build a complete system with following components:

  • 5-pole flat cable – 2.5 or 4 mm2 – as flexible bus bar in black and green
  • Flat cable end pieces
  • 5-pole flat cable feed-in – 2.5 - 6 mm2 – for connection to the feed-in cable
  • 3-pole flat cable adapter with pluggable outlet and phase selection (can be adapted at any time without offsetting)
  • 3-pole connecting cables  3G2.5 mm2 to directly pluggable floor boxes, alternatively 3-pole connection cables 3G2.5 mm2 for conventional floor boxes in black and white.

LARGE SYSTEMS

For large systems with > 30 floor boxes (depending on the average capacity) or very extensive areas, infrastructure cabling with 5-pole gesis® NRG flat cables 5G10 mm2 is recommended. Due to the reduced cross-section at the outlet and the back-up fuse of up to 50 A it is mandatory to provide RCBO/MCB in the floor box. These can then also be combined with non-decentrally fused floor boxes.

You can build a complete system with following components:

  • 5-pole flat cable –10 mm2 – as flexible busbar
  • Flat cable end pieces
  • 5-pole flat cable feed-in – 10 - 16 mm2 – for connection to the feed-in cable
  • 5-pole flat cable adapter with pre-assembled 3-pin connection cable 3G4 mm2
  • 3-pole connecting lines 3G2.5 mm2 to directly pluggable (slave) floor boxes

HIGHLY CONCENTRATED SYSTEMS

If many floor boxes are to be supplied on a comparatively small area, infrastructure cabling with 5-pole connecting lines and consolidation points can be an optimal solution. The consolidation points can optionally be delivered directly pre-configured with RCBO or MCB.

You can build a complete system with following components:

  • 5-pole female feed connector – 2.5 or 4 mm2 – for connection to the feed-in cable
  • Consolidation point with configurable number of outputs and optional, decentralized protection of outputs with RCBO or MCB
  • 5-pole connecting cables 5G2.5 mm2 as infrastructure cabling for a supply line
  • 3-pole connecting cables 3G2.5 mm2  to directly pluggable floor boxes, alternatively 3-pole connection cables 3G2.5 mm2 for conventional floor boxes

YOUR ADVANTAGES

Easy & quick installation

Plug & play makes this possible: with no cutting, baring, stripping, and clamping of cables the electrical installation is quick and easy.

Saving energy

Three-phase power supply to the field reduces the voltage drop and saves energy.

Completely pluggable design possible

With floor boxes from our system partners you can design your entire floor installation to be pluggable.
